LAKE ELLEN

Public BBQ

The playground is a haven for children of all ages, featuring a variety of equipment and an engaging sugar cane themed play area. The innovative inclusion of a purpose-built scooter track and a bike path adds to the fun. The site is well-maintained, though the notable absence of a large spider net disappoints. The park transforms into a peaceful retreat at dusk, despite some issues with the lighting. A highlight for many is the swamp reserve, with its expansive walks, bridges, boardwalks, and an opportunity to spot wildlife. The park is also home to a delightful collection of birds and turtles. Although some visitors note a lack of shade and suggest bringing sunscreen, the park provides shaded tables and seating areas. There are also clean toilet facilities and areas for BBQs, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings or quiet reflection.
