RATHMINES RECREATION AREA

Public BBQ

Rathmines Park, located on the shores of Lake Macquarie, is an excellent destination for families and history enthusiasts. The park features a plane-themed playground, catering to different age groups, with baby swings, climbing structures, a flying saucer swing, and a mega flying fox. The park was once home to the RAAF Catalina Flying Boat Base, and some of the play equipment is inspired by this history. The park offers beautiful lake views and plenty of grassy areas for picnics or ball games. There is a covered seating area with a BBQ for those who wish to cook. The wide paths are perfect for scooters and bikes.
