THOMPSON'S BEACH

Public BBQ

Thompson's Beach is a versatile spot, appreciated for its blend of recreational amenities and natural beauty. At high tide, it's an excellent swimming location, while low tide reveals a sandy beach for exploration. The park is a hub of activity with playgrounds designed for various age groups, a half-court for basketball, and exercise equipment. It also provides ample space for ball games, kite flying, or a relaxing walk along the Esplanade. The area is appreciated for its cleanliness and well-maintained facilities, which include toilets, seated bench areas, and pet-friendly amenities. While the beach gets quite crowded, it offers scenic views over the bay, shaded spots under trees for picnics, and a quiet, friendly atmosphere. The beach is a short stroll from a highly recommended cafe, Brown Sugar. For families and outdoor enthusiasts alike, Thompson's Beach is a local favorite.
