WENTWORTH PARK

Public BBQ

This park features a beautiful old gum tree, relaxing green grass, and a playground with swings (including one for babies), a small slide, seesaw, spring riders, and climbing cables. The playground is in good condition and wheelchair accessible. People often come to the park with their dogs, sunbathe on the grass, or join small exercise groups using the fitness equipment (4 stations) spread around the park's perimeter. An electric BBQ is available, along with large tables and benches to sit and eat. However, there are no toilets nearby, the nearest facilities are about a 10-minute walk away near the Fishmarket end of Wentworth Park. Visitors enjoy the park's peaceful atmosphere and appreciate its proximity to the city center. The park is ideal for exercise, sports, and leisure activities, though some recommend it more for sports and exercise rather than picnics due to its open space and lack of nearby toilets.
