WHITBY PLAYGROUND

Public BBQ

This playground offers a serene retreat nestled among trees, creating the feeling of being miles from the city. The space features a mix of nature play elements and slides, with good shade throughout most areas. While well-designed for older children with climbing structures and tunnels, it lacks toddler-specific equipment like baby swings. The park is equipped with BBQ facilities, tables, and benches for families to relax. A water fountain is available, though the water play section is typically dry. Some areas show signs of wear - rubber padding has eroded in places, and occasional sharp objects appear in the sand. Visitors should note there are no toilet facilities and no barriers between the park and the road. The park remains green even during summer and includes a pleasant walk trail along Manjedal Brook for those looking to explore. Pet-friendly.
