YARRIABINI NATIONAL PARK

Public BBQ

The park is widely praised for its stunning, panoramic views of the Macleay Valley and the lush rainforest that visitors can explore via both scenic drives and walking trails. A slow drive from the Grassy Head entrance to the main lookout is highly recommended, while adventurers might extend their trip to the transmission masts for more incredible south-west views. Walking along the riverbed or taking a short walk near the Pines Picnic Area are also popular activities. Besides the captivating views, visitors are amazed by the giant, untouched trees and unusual wildlife like red crayfish and strangler fig trees. The Pines Picnic area boasts excellent, clean facilities including a BBQ and toilets, although mobile phone coverage is limited inside the park. Visitors should note that while most roads are accessible with a 2WD vehicle, some rough sections might be challenging without a 4WD. Don't forget to bring mosquito repellent!
